    Our History

    For over 46 years, Bill Reed Decorations has successfully served the special event industry. The company has evolved over the years based upon the creative endeavors of the founder, Bill Reed. At the age of 18, Bill Reed began his artistic career working for a company that constructed props for the State Fair of Texas. From this training came the desire to found his own company, Bill Reed Decorations.

    The company began by designing custom interiors for wholesale showrooms at the Dallas Market Center. As the clientele and company grew, so did the range of products. Design and fabrication of theme decor, specifically Seasonal decor, soon became a staple of the business. Bill Reed's name gained public exposure as he was commissioned to design decor for the world renowned Neiman Marcus Fortnight Events. The success of the Fortnight Events led to the design of many Texas sized Debutante Balls and Fundraising Galas.

    In 1994, having achieved all of his business goals, Bill Reed decided to retire. Rustan D. Rhone purchased the company from Bill Reed, after working closely with him for over 7 years. From Bill Reed, Mr. Rhone learned the basics of successful event decor, from conception of a theme to the design, fabrication and installation of an event.

    Although Mr. Reed is no longer a daily part of the business, some of the employees who have been here five, ten even more than 20 years still remain. Bill Reed's creative spirit, drive and determination will always be a part of the company standards which are reflected in our mission statement.

    commitment of the company and employees.

    Today, the company specializes in providing special event decor through rental of our extensive inventory (45,000 sq. ft. warehouse) including theme props, backdrops, scenery, theme exhibits and signage as well as custom design, fabrication and production. Our 46 years in business has earned praise from our many clients, who are impressed not only with our props but with our expertise and dedication.     Service Area

    Bill Reed Decorations readily Serves North Texas and the surrounding areas. We look forward to traveling outside the metroplex, but our clients are the ones who have to pay to get us there.
